A book written by me and Jack Helmuth as a companion to our TV show The B.S. of A.
It shot to #1 Comedy on Amazon in November 2013. Gangbusters! Then Amazon worried that they might sell out.
So, what did they do to our Christmas-themed book? They changed it from “Prime” delivery to “expected delivery in 1-3 months.” We begged them to change it back. They said no. We said the published will get them a zillion books ASAP. They said they’d change it as soon as the books were in the warehouse.
That naturally killed the sales momentum of a Christmas book. Nobody wants a Christmas-themed book in March.
I still hate Amazon for that, even though I use them constantly.
