In the late ’90s I partnered with Tommy Smeltzer and Fred Leo to create Sixty Second Airborne, a military-themed boutique ad agency that specialized in funny radio commercials.
We cultivated some very cool clients, including Mentos, MindSpring, QuikTrip, Krystal and Chiquita Banana. We made a ton of radio, and you can hear some of my favorites here on SoundCloud.
It was a glorious place with interns John Mayer and Shawn Mullins eventually going off to find fame and fortune. And intern Matt Mangano plays with Zac Brown Band, so he’s doing swell too.
